The beginnings of vibration technology go back to 1869. At this time, vibrations were being used in the USA to treat problems in the arms and back. In 1960, the East German Prof. Dr. Biermann successfully continued the method. The benefits of vibration training have also been recognized and applied by the Russian State Ballet to meet the requirements of perfect body line, good bounce and elastic muscles. Since then, vibration technology has been an essential element of training at the St. Petersburg Academy of Russian Ballet and the Moscow State Academy of Choreography.

With Philipp Kontzler as shareholder and managing director, Power Plate GmbH is very successful and a leader in the areas of development, conception and customer satisfaction. After 15 years as a satisfied Power Plate customer, Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg will take on the role of brand ambassador from 2021 and become an investor in the global Power Plate group.

NEW DEVELOPMENTS

In recent years in particular, Power Plate has undergone an enormous development process and has made products even more customer-friendly. Not only are all new Power Plate pro devices medically certified, the latest device series even have touchscreen displays, integrated exercise videos and dynamic, vibrating cable pull systems for efficient training of the upper body. Over the last 10 years, over 11,500 Power Plate personal trainers have been trained and certified. Product development is now moving to the next level of digitalization. The digitally guided Power Plate training is being further expanded for the medical and sports sectors and the development department has already brought the first products with the Power Plate Station onto the market.
